Let the games begin! And may the best team win, which should be the San Francisco Giants. Here’s hoping for the World Series – Part 2.

Take me out to the ballgame!
And I don’t care if I ever get back. I’ll be root-root-rooting for the home team at AT&T Park next Saturday. Can’t wait
Showtime and MLB Productions have produced a reality series about the Giants called “The Franchise” – to air this summer. Looks FANtastic. Can’t wait to watch this, too. Here’s the trailer:

P.S. Congrats to Vince “You can kiss that baby good-bye!” Scully - Today will be the 62nd consecutive year he has announced the L.A. Dodgers’ Opening Day game. Way to go, Vinnie. What a pro. What an institution. I’m a HUGE fan. Mr. Scully is part of the reason I love the game. He’s one of the better voices of my childhood — as I grew up I listening to him on my transistor radio and rooting for the Dodgers. My appreciation of the Dodgers has faded, but not for Mr. Scully.
P.P. S. Note to the Philadelphia Phillies fans who bashed me last season: I get your enthusiasm/passion/love of baseball. Except for the profanity part, I enjoyed your intensity. (And if I had to pick the toughest obstacle for the Giants to overcome in their quest to repeat, it would be you guys.)
