Missy Erica -- You are missed!
At the drug store while looking through graduation cards, I spotted this one. As I reached to grab it, the woman standing next to me (who had also been perusing graduation cards) reached for it at the same time. But I was quicker! Then I felt bad. There was only one left. The woman sighed.

From the Dr. Seuss book: "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"
As I clutched the card in my clammy hand I explained to the woman, “I need it for Missy Erica’s birthday.”
“It’s a graduation card,” the woman replied.
“I know.“
“I’m giving the book as a present, too,” the woman said, pleading with me.
“But Missy Erica is in heaven and she would want Leah to have it.”
“Ohhhh,” the woman said, like she was thinking to herself, “NUT JOB!” She scooted away fast.
Haven’t people heard of heaven? Sheesh.
Since the book was one of your faves, I thought the card would be perfect for Leah. But also sad. (Maybe too sad?) So I haven’t mailed it yet. Holly also graduated this month, but I can’t mail her card either (Hoops & YoYo—very funny, you’d like it) until I think of what to say to Leah. Any ideas??
Just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you and your Mom.

Happy 23rd b.d. to a forever beautiful YOU.
P.S. You moved mountains, kid!
