Here’s a funny comic printed in yesterday’s USA Today:

I’m not an Obama fan (any more) and not because I think he’s a Muslim. (BTW, he’s not.) I don’t like the way during his campaign he claimed to be a game-changer for America and turns out he’s just another self-involved player on the BOB Team (Bad Ol’ Boys).
He may be the captain, but he’s not controlling the ball. Sometimes he’s not even IN the game, but instead watches from the sidelines as he allows his treasury buddies/banking players to run up the score for the rich and powerful in our country.
How’s the little guy supposed to win this game? He can’t. (Where’s the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team when you need them?!)
But Obama whiffing the ball on trying to improve the economy for average Americans doesn’t make him NOT a Christian—just un-Christian like.
I’m no Bible scholar, but the gist of Christianity is to love your neighbor and help the needy, the poor, the afflicted, and the defenseless. Consequently, any policy that favors the rich is un-Christian-like.
Being un-Christian-like doesn’t turn Obama into a Muslim (or any other religion). That makes him hypocritical. And before all you self-righteous folks jump on his back for this particular transgression, I got news for you: We’re all un-Christian-like every time we transgress. (BTW #2, all people trangress.)
Although I don’t know which 20% of the U.S. population that thinks Obama is a Muslim, but I’m guessing it’s more of the Christianite people who do. I’m also thinking that it’s probably either a case of bearing false witness—OR just stupidity (like eating paint chips)—the first of which is a transgression; the second being unlucky genes.
If Obama wants to clear up the misunderstanding about his religion, all he has to do is act more Christian-like. For instance, Psalms 41:1 says, “Blessed is he who considereth the poor.” And Proverbs 29:7 says, “The righteous is concerned for the rights of the poor; the wicked does not understand such concern.”
Has he runneth those verses by Apostle Geithner? Does he cracketh down on corporate greed and Big Business favoritism?
Of course not.He’s too busy worrying about playing the political game—which is devoid of ethics, let alone morality. He’d rather play with Team BOB than with average Americans.
Obama is a not a Muslim. He’s a Christian—a lousy one—and a lousy POTUS.
Update on 9/08/10: Read a NY Times article today that Obama has finally made it clear that he “rejects extension of the Bush tax cuts.” HALLELUJAH! It’s about time he takes a stand for the 98% of Americans who aren’t rich.
I wonder, do you think his decision came as a result of reading my blog? Hmmm….
