Mr. President: You have said MANY times in speeches how your terminally-ill Mother fought with her insurance company to do the right thing in her case right up until the end. You saw first hand the despicable and immoral treatment by this horrid industry toward its customers. And you felt first hand the helplessness of dealing with an “extortionary profits are most important than people” minded monster.
Yet these are the same people that you want to MANDATE Americans to have to do business with. In other words, you want Americans to deal with the Devil. How do you think that will turn out? Look no further than your own Mother.
When it comes to fulfilling the required “every uninsured American MUST purchase health care” aspect of your (and the Democrats) flawed Health Care Insurance “Reform” Bill, count me out.
Count me as a Conscientious Objector to the Health Care Insurance Industry.
Count me as a Civilly-Disobedient Non-Participant to your deeply idiotic solution to the health care problem in the U.S.
Count me as one who will NOT buy a policy nor pay any fine.
When you have an industry that regularly treats its customers with deadly disregard the way the health insurance providers do, you DON’T give them MORE customers to mistreat and/or make suffer and/or rob blind and/or kill.
You tell them to take their lobbying dollars and influence peddling and hit the road. You throw them out and tell them not to come back until their greedy indecency has been cured.
Are not the White House, Congress, and Federal Agencies more powerful than a bunch of insidious companies?
At the Glenside, Pennsylvania rally on March 8th you said:
“We can’t have a system that works better for the insurance companies than it does for the American people…”
You cited a plan by WellPoint Inc. for a 39 percent rate increase for some.
You said:
“They will keep on doing this for as long as they can get away with it. This is no secret…They’re telling their investors this: ‘We are in the money. We are going to keep on making big profits even though a lot of folks are going to be put under hardship.’”
Kinda hypocritical of you to tell us that Big Insurance companies are SCUM and then tell us to open our wallets and give them our hard-earned money.
No how. No way. No can do.
Count me as an Anti-Health Care Insurance Revolutionist. I have my flag ready for the marches on Washington: It says: “Do Not Tread on Me.” Catchy, dontcha think?
