Claire Danes is a good actress, especially as a teen in the TV show, My So-Called Life. But what was that stunt she pulled as an adult with Billy “I live up to my cruddy name” Crudup? Ugh.
Claire Danes stars in an HBO movie tonight called Temple Grandin. She plays the title role—a true story about an incredibly ethical woman. It’s a good thing Danes is a good actress, because she’d have to be to pull it off.
USA Today interviewed Danes about this film in an article published on Thursday. But the subject of Cruduptheplace never came up. Had I been the interviewer, that would have been the subject of my first question:
1. What were you’re thinking when you got involved with a guy who was involved in a seven-year relationship and that someone was seven months pregnant and you were involved in a six year relationship?
Other questions:
2. Any regrets? Have you ever apologized to MLP? BL?
3. Did you enjoy sneaking around as a cheating girlfriend with a cheating boyfriend?
4. What do you think of people (like myself, for instance) who think yours and his behavior makes you look like hedonistic self-absorbed head-up-the-butt major league crumb bums?
5. Is it always all about you?
6. Pertaining to the particular aforementioned situation, what do think was best for that unborn child and whose needs were more important?
7. Pertaining to the particular aforementioned situation, who taught you that skanky behavior and do you plan to teach it to your progeny?
8. Pertaining to the particular aforementioned situation, can you please explain what you meant in your interview in BlackBook Magazine (Aug. 09) when you said:
“That was a choice I made to fall in love. It’s unpleasant to be cast in such an unflattering role, but I just had to remain steadfast….I was living with the same kind of integrity that I had always lived with.”
9. How did that aforementioned relationship work out for you? Oh right, you dumped the aforementioned creep for the next guy, Mr. Dancy.
10. Pertaining to the particular aforementioned situation, will Mr. Dancy have to keep an eye on you when you work with other actors?
11. Do you believe in what goes around comes around? How about the notion of karma?
Lastly, #12. Did you learn anything from portraying a woman of high moral fiber?
Thank you, Miss Danes. Now go repent. And buy a dictionary to look up the word integrity. Yeesh.
To USA Today: If you want someone with the cojones to ask the right questions, be happy to.
