Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards’ Most Important Part: the Dresses

First of all, LOVED Jimmy Fallon as the host. The Springsteen and Billie Joe Armstrong parodies were hysterical.

Second, there were a bunch of awards handed out. Whatever…

Third, the most important part: WHO WORE WHAT!

Overall, Fuchsia Woman gives the Emmy Fashions a C-. Not that many great ones. Lots of awful ones.

Jane Lynch 200x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Jane Lynch -- love her. Congrats on the well-deserved Emmy!

As I “C” it, Jane Lynch gets an A for a purple taffeta one-shoulder figure flattering frock. But can she do a head stand in it? Also, I think she borrowed Betty White’s shoes.

Tina Fey - love her!

But don’t love the dress. Looks like it was designed on an Etch-a-Sketch.

January Jones from Mad Men.

Love the TV show, not the dress. Looks like Judy Jetson gone mad with a shower curtain.

And speaking of curtains…

KyraS 300x249 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Kyra Sedgwick and hubby.

She re-did her boudoir and recycled the drapes. (Or was it the fainting couch?)

Emily Blunt 93x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Emily Blunt on the Red Carpet.

The Devil wore Prada and MADE HER wear this dress. That’s her excuse and she’s sticking to it.

Heidi Klum. A Project Runway mishap?

I hope she only paid 1/2 price for that “dress.”

Lauren Graham 193x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Lauren Graham - She forgot to check the mirror when she left the restaurant.

On the way to the Emmys, she stopped for seafood and forgot to remove her lobster bib. Oops!

Toni Collette 300x218 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Toni Collette - Wearing a dress picked out by "Buck," the Vietnam Vet.

Ms. Collette: The Poncho Goblin outfit was better.

ANNA PAQUIN 196x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Anna Paquin - From that show about vampires.

Wanna-be Vampiress meets Aztec Warrior.

Christina Hendricks 162x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Christina Hendricks at the 2010 Emmys. She should have tried to win back her green dress on EBay.

Here’s my theory on this dress: “Miss Holloway” from Mad Men works late at the office. She doesn’t have time to rush home and get her Emmy dress. So she grabs any ol’ rag from the janitor’s closet and throws it on. In her mad dash out the door, she accidentally runs into the paper shredder. (That would explain everything.)

Rose Byrne Emmys 282 211x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Rose Byrne: Best-supporting actress nominee for "Damages."

She’s auditioning for the lead role in the remake of the 1935 movie, Bride of Frankenstein.

Elsa Lancaster loaned Rose Byrne the dress she wore in "Bride of Frankenstein."

Rita loves her chandelier so much she wore it?

Rita Wilson shows off her Minnie Mouse hairdo and enlightening dress and shoes.

Finally, a great dress:

Connie Britton 155x300 Fuchsia Woman Rates the Emmy Awards Most Important Part: the Dresses

Connie Britton -- love her, love the dress!

Classy dress on a formidable actress from Friday Night Lights, one of the two best shows on TV. [The other show: Glee.] If I were an Emmy voter, Connie Britton would have gotten my vote. Same for Hugh Laurie.

I attended the Emmy Awards one year. Here’s my experience:
