A year ago I completed my Juliana Jewelry collection (after several years collecting) by purchasing a brooch and matching earrings that were the color of what I called “Obama Blue.” I remember telling Debrah (the Seller from RubyLane.com, who was from Canada) that I was so excited for the regime change with a new leader who could restore America’s greatness and American’s faith in government. This jewelry was a symbol of good stuff to come and I would wear it with enthusiasm and optimism!
A year later, here’s what I think:
Juliana Jewelry is still “the bomb.” But as far as being a President goes, Obama is “a bomb” (as in bombed out).
And I have never worn this jewelry set. (Or as they call it in the vintage jewelry biz, a “demi-parure.”)
The debacle in Massachusetts sums up the Obama presidency so far:
loss of popularity + loss of credibility + loss of change = loss of election
One of President OBomba’s senior aides, David Axelrod, was quoted as saying the Coakley loss in MA was not a reflection of people’s view of the Obomba’s presidency and that he was still “popular” in MA. Well, I suppose you could find thousands of people who’d like to have a beer with a POTUS, like Harvard professors and cops, but that doesn’t mean they’ll vote for him.
The David Axelrod comment is typical of the spin that political dunderheads think Americans will buy. But anyone with an I.Q. above that of a broccoli floret knows it is a pile.
Don’t these Washington folks ever get tired of the bamboozling? Of the distorting? Of pulling crap? Of the flim-flamming finagling? Of underestimating Americans? Of being politically expedient instead of morally correct? Of selling out America to the highest bidder? Of being low down instead of stand up? Of lying through their teeth instead of being brutally honest?
Honesty and Integrity: Now that would be Change We Can Believe In.
President OBomba: Martha Coakley’s loss IS your loss. YOU were repudiated right along with her.
As a result, it’s time for you to reassess. Renounce your pathetic first year. Regain your senses. Redo. Rebuild. Rejuvenate America.
Because if won’t RE-work your agenda, there will be no RE-election and REpublicans will REap the REwards.

1. Extremely repugnant or offensive; OR
2. Of very bad quality, or very unpleasant to experience.
